I had already discarded several photos because I didn’t like any of them. Fortunately, a few days before the contest ended, I went with one of my best friends to an art party. As I was taking photos, it started to get dark and I tried to find a place that fit the theme well. With a little patience, I got the screenshot I wanted.

What advice would you give someone who’s interested in getting into GPosing but might not know where to start?

Despite all the time that I’ve been in this community, I don’t know what advice I could give to those who want to start. I simply took photos of the things I liked! My character, my glamour, the landscape, etc… The most important thing is to never lose the desire to learn and to not get discouraged when the results are not what you expected. Don’t forget to read all the photography guides you can!

Your best memory taking screenshots is?

The happiest memory I have is the first friend I made in the screenshot community, I’ll always treasure that moment very dearly.

To be honest, there wasn’t that much thought behind it. I entered the Dravanian Hinterlands and saw this magnificent sky. It just was perfect, so I stopped right where I was and searched for a nice view with a lot of stars but also some hints of the area I was in. And that’s it!

What advice would you give someone who’s interested in getting into GPosing but might not know where to start?

Gpose is learning by doing. Don’t be shy, just enter it and play around with all the different options. Try out different lighting and angles, combine emotes with facial expressions, or just switch the time stop on and off. Do more than one pic, do at least 10, maybe more. You can’t do too many. The more you do, the more you practice. And practice is everything. And if you think one is really good or you need some feedback, don’t be shy and share it, so we can learn from each other.

This is a hard question. The pics I made I like the most are without any story behind them. And the ones with stories I often don’t like when looking through them. Maybe this could be a compromise answer: Lately, there are some others in my FC who love to take screenshots. And every now and then we find each other standing somewhere AFK and do some unasked pics with them. Short moments without great thoughts, but they are fun!

I knew the contest was going on, but I wasn’t sure I was going to take a pic. However, I was farming fates in Coerthas Western Highlands when my friend said “Did you know there’s an Aurora Borealis in this game?” I looked around the sky to find it, hit Scroll Lock to hide my HUD, and then took the screenshot. I didn’t want to risk getting into gpose and having it disappear.

What advice would you give someone who’s interested in getting into GPosing but might not know where to start?

Go into gpose, play around with the settings. Figure out what does what, find what you like. Ask others for help/criticism. Just play around with it and have fun.

Your best memory taking screenshots is?

Taking pics of my AST weapon, Canopus Lux. It was a lot of fun doing different poses to get that pic to turn out just right.

Please explain your thought process behind your winning snap:

“Starry sky” was our subject. There are many beautiful skies at night, so I was searching for something “special”. So the First came to my mind, and my favorite place in the First is the Rak’tika forest. At first, I wanted a pic with the light plant you can have as a housing item, but no sky there. I flew around and found a nice spot close to the lake. The crystals make a nice element on the screen so I try to choose an angle where we can see it. I could have chosen another spot with a bit fewer trees for more sky on my screenshot.

What advice would you give someone who’s interested in getting into GPosing but might not know where to start?

My first screens were taken during cinematics. I wanted to catch those moments with my character. Since it’s already well composed, it can be a good start outside gpose. You can also learn some basics of lighting and composition. Even if you don’t use shaders, trainers, or a bad resolution, your screen will still look good with good light and composition.

Gpose is great but I love the trainer. It adds some options which could be awesome in gpose such as time/weather control, better camera control. You can also have a custom pose; it’s enjoyable. I don’t use mods too often. Just for some specific idea, I can have. One day, I saw a contest on Instagram. It was for someone who uses many mods so I was thinking “Well, I could use a mod for once”. Then I4 takes the opportunity to do a custom pose. I ended my shoot session with approximately fifty screenshots…
